EmpowHERment: Godfidence Class

Mikesha Loretta Watson was born on Friday, May 21, 1982 at home in East Orange, New Jersey by the late Gaspard Noel and Carmen Taylor. Even though she was born in the United States, she is a Jamaican, Haitian and African descendent. After her birth, her mother moved and lived in Orange, NJ where she had resided most of her life. Mikesha graduated from Orange High School in 2000. During the times when she was in school, she was on the chorus, drama team, and also plays the violin. Musical genes run on her mother’s side. She has been singing since the age of 5, writing music at the age of 16, and playing the violin at the age of 10. By the time she was 13 she was known as the best violin player in the city of Orange and from all of the nine schools in the Orange district including middle and high school. And for that the city of Orange presented her a gift and gave her an antique violin that she still has up to this day. She also has been dancing in talent shows and school concerts all her life until she got saved and began to build her relationship with the Lord that she began to Praise dance which is called Liturgical Dancing. She has been praise dancing for over 20 years. Mikesha heard the call of God at 15 on March 1998 and made the decision to be saved on Sunday, August 2nd that same year at 16. She received the gift of the Holy Spirit on Sunday, October 4th, 1998. From there began to work for the Lord by singing, preaching, teaching, cooking food to feed and serve the homeless. On March 1999 at 16, she preached her first sermon at a youth service entitled: “It’s not whether you got knocked down; it’s whether you get up!” That night she knew God was calling her to preach but she kept running. But on Saturday, June 10th, 2005 in Savannah, GA she surrendered and accepted the call on her life. She was licensed and Ordained under  Rehoboth United as now named Perfecting Saints International by Apostle Johnnie L. Clark and Bishop Michael D. Gadsden. Mikesha loves and has a heart for young people. In 2016 she stepped out on faith and she began a ministries for Men and Women called Know Your Worth Ministries. The purpose of it is to let people know that there is life after being broken and destroyed and that you don’t have to be the victim but the victor in Christ. In April 2017 she had her first Know Your Worth Conference that was a success. People came in and left out delivered, set free and was made whole. She loves to spread love, to encourage, to sow seeds and bless people.

She is also computer literate: she types, data clerk entry and filing, educated in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel. In 2010 she completed her Black Ministers Program from Hartford Seminary In 2014. She finished and accomplished her CNA certificate and in 2016 she also completed her certificate in Medical Assistant which each of these are under her belt. On November of 2021 she also accomplished her Professional Life Coaching at Transformation Academy. Her desire is to be a humble servant for the Lord and to go into ministry full time. She loves studying God’s Word, loves praying and and having a close relationship with the Lord. She resides in Connecticut with her loving and saved husband Macy Jr. with their three amazing sons (Josiah, Macy III & Genesis). She also does ministry along side with her husband on Sundays for the community, called The Breakthrough Healing & Deliverance Ministries. The ministry began July 26 2020. Her desire is to continue to do the will of God and to love the Lord with all of her heart, mind and soul.
